Auspicious Animals of Shrine

The gold lacquered wood carving shrine is a local cultural treasure in Chaozhou, China. The shrine is a special tool dedicated to the ancestors of the folk. It is made of precious wood, and the dense patterns on it are all hand-carved. It is mostly located in the shrine, and is very famous in Chaoshan. However, due to the complicated technology and fewer and fewer inheritors, Chaoshan’s gold lacquered wood carving culture is now facing difficulties. In fact, ancestor worship in chaozhou actually reflects the attention of Chaoshan people to the "blessing concept". The "blessing culture" runs through all aspects of Chaoshan people's life, not just in sacrifices. Therefore, I extracted the complicated animal elements appearing on the gold lacquered wood carving shrine. Each animal has best wishes and symbols. I made a set of cultural and creative products for young people. I hope that they can wear these products with all kinds of good wishes in daily life.
